It is very simple to use RESTAHEAD™ for rest and restoring a healthy neck posture simultanously. You may watch the video with instructions here. You simply place RESTAHEAD™ behind your neck, with your neck between the two flexible support members. Pull it gently towards you so the support members form a stable arch that matches your natural curve of your neck. When you lean back against any surface it will be held in place by the weight of your head. You can maintain the neck rest in a fixed curvature by tightening the strings on each side of the neck rest. 

The cords are used to hold the neck support in your preferred curved position.

That depends on your build (height, neck curve, head size, shoulder width, etc.), the shape and tilt of the seat you are leaning against, or your surface. The curve should be adjusted so that the neck support supports you and allows you to sit or lie comfortably and relaxed.

You can think of the RESTAHEAD™ neck support as something like a pillow – it can be bent more or less, and the shape is fixed using the cords if you wish.

You can adjust the curvature depending on where you are and what you need at any given time. Depending on the seat’s shape, it may sometimes be advantageous to bend the neck support more than usual to achieve optimal support. In other words, the neck support is very flexible.

It means that the RESTAHEAD™ neck support supports the head and neck in a way that is good for the body. Our cervical vertebrae and upper spine have a natural curve in the neck and another in the lower back. When you use RESTAHEAD™ neck support, it supports and allows you to rest in the body’s natural position and prevents the two flexible curves in the neck and back from rolling toward each other. This allows the muscles to relax, providing optimal rest while avoiding uncomfortable and painful sideways bending with risk of strain or sprains.

The RESTAHEAD™ neck rest is perfect travel equipment in plane, train, bus and car where you don’t have much freedom to move, and it is also a fantastic device to help relieve tension and relax on the beach, the yoga mat, at home on the couch, or wherever you wish to relax. It is not meant as a replacement for a pillow at night, but it can be a good helper to falling asleep.

When using the RESTAHEAD™ neck support in a sitting position, a backrest is required, or something high enough for the neck support to be fastened to, while the backrest does not need to extend above your head. Most airplane, car, bus, and train seats, as well as many lounge and recliner chairs, have a high enough backrest. In metros and buses, where people are typically transported over shorter distances, the backrests are often lower.

Yes, older children can easily use the RESTAHEAD™ neck support. How much the neck support should curve depends, among other things, on the user’s build – see also above.

Yes, it is washable at 40 degrees C. If necessary, stretch the cover a little before hanging it to dry. Do not tumbledry or dryclean. For everyday maintenance the cover can be brushed with a clothes brush to keep it free of fluff.
